WordPress updated
February 28th, 2011WordPress (the software that this site runs on) and all outstanding plugins have been updated.
WordPress (the software that this site runs on) and all outstanding plugins have been updated.
The website formerly known as the WordPress MU shared blogging install has been relocated onto a new server home. This has given it an upgrade to the underlying Operating System and provides better redundancy and performance.
We will soon be enabling the UoB service brand name of blogs.bris.ac.uk. We have the wildcard DNS setup and we are in the process of registering a wildcard SSL cert. We will also perform a replacement of all references of the old ilrt.org name with the bris.ac.uk name. Redirects will be kept in place so the old URLs continue to function. We can explicitly set DNS names for individual blogs where it is preferred.
WordPress MU (the software that runs this website) has been upgraded to standard WordPress version 3.0.1
A fair number of themes that were not in use have been removed and a number of themes (too many to list here) have been updated.
All outstanding plugin updates have been applied.
These changes have been made as a security measure.
If you have any problems email blogs-help@bristol.ac.uk
The ILRT wordpress theme is based on the simple Kubrick theme and customised by Simon Price from Webfutures and later by Matt Baker at ILRT. It is now available for download so that it can be used elsewhere in the UoB.
v0.2 ** Ben Hayes (Internet Development web designer) has given the theme a spruce with widget support! Thanks Ben!
You can also select this theme in the Design section of your blog on blogs.ilrt.org.
